We’re always up for spending the day in the open and last Sunday we headed down to the Boiling Wells Orchard in Bristol to get a slice of the Apple Day action. Organised by the team at St Werburgh’s Farm, the event is all about the crunchy fruit!
The woodland was heaving with families who came to listen to the music, story-telling and many were carrying bags of apples they had brought with them to get pressed. Volunteers placed various slices of apples for us all to taste.
This year the little ones were shown how to build their very own lantern while parents were tempted by some delicious mulled cider!
It was a real pleasure to see everybody enjoying themselves and the orchard was a brilliant place to play hide and seek with the tiny people in your life or just enjoy a bit of a rest sat on a bench overlooking the dancers and musicians below.
We’ll definitely be back next year!
