We love music and when our friend Mike from the Bristol Gilbert and Sullivan Operatic Society invited us once again to their Autumn Concert we could not miss that! With a mix of poetry, theatre and beautiful pieces by Bernstein, Brahms and Mozart, the afternoon was a delight for the audience that had gathered at the Bristol Music Club.
For our little one, the best bit happened to be cakes…kids do always tell it as it is! I must admit I am very fond of the four hand pieces played by Maria Angel Garcia Soria and her husband Thomas Worley, and more particularly the sonata which Thomas explained was written by Mozart to be played with his less famous sister “Nannerl”.
Last year, we had a lot of fun at the Redgrave Theatre in Bristol watching the BGSOS rendition of The Gondoliers and we truly recommend you pencil in your diary their next show, The Pirates of Penzence (April 12-16 at the Redgrave Theatre) which promises to be a huge success! See you there 🙂
